Am 13. Mai 2023 feierten wir MILDREDs Geburtstag im Hafen der \u201eSchwentineflotte e.V.\u201c.  Fachsimpeln, essen, musizieren und in der Sonne sitzen. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir seit Fr\u00fchjahr 2023 unseren neuen Liegeplatz im Verein &#8222;Schwentineflotte e. V.&#8220; haben. Es war also ein doppelter Grund zu feiern. Auf MILDRED war \u201eopen ship\u201c und im Versammlungsraum gab es Platz f\u00fcr Essen, Trinken, Reden und Live-Musik von Colibr\u00ed. Behrend, A. Auch unsere beiden Miteigner Ulrike und Andreas wurden 2018 zusammen 120 Jahre alt. April 2018 im Rahmen des \u201eTags der offenen Luke\u201c des Museumshafens Kiel, von 12.00 &#8211; 18.00 Uhr im Germaniahafen in Kiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/mildred_120J_KN.jpg\">Ulrike Weber, Uwe Stahl und Andreas Linnemann sto\u00dfen auf den 120. Geburtstag ihrer &#8222;MILDRED&#8220; an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2017 auf der Rumregatta:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rumregatta-Mildred2017.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Mai-2012-0591.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Mai-2012-0591.jpg\" alt=\"Mai-2012-059\" class=\"wp-image-18\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Mai-2012-0591.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Mai-2012-0591-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mildred.de\/workingboat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Mai-2012-0591-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201eMildred\u201c wurde 1898 bei Falmouth als Austernfischer gebaut.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Falmouth liegt in Cornwall, Englands S\u00fcdwesten, wo heute noch Austern nach einem Gesetz von 1860&nbsp; gedretscht werden, n\u00e4mlich ausschlie\u00dflich&nbsp; unter Segeln. Es handelt sich bei den Falmouth Working Boats\u0094 um die letzte Fischereiflotte Europas, die nur unter Segeln arbeitet. Die Austern werden mit zwei bis drei Dretschen vom Grund \u0093gekratzt\u0094, w\u00e4hrend das Boot seitw\u00e4rts beigedreht langsam \u00fcber die Austernb\u00e4nke treibt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eMildred\u201c wurde bis 1930 in der Fischerei eingesetzt und dann als Yacht\u0094 verkauft. Sie wechselte ziemlich oft ihre Eigner, blieb aber meist an der englischen S\u00fcdk\u00fcste, bis sie dort 1987 von ihren derzeitigen Eignern gekauft wurde und seitdem an der Kieler F\u00f6rde beheimatet ist. Von hier aus unternimmt sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Urlaubst\u00f6rns, die sie bisher bis Irland, Norwegen, Finnland oder das nahe D\u00e4nemark brachten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ihren fr\u00fcheren Heimathafen Falmouth hat sie bereits zweimal besucht und ihre Eigner halten auch st\u00e4ndigen Kontakt mit den Eignern ihrer Schwesterschiffe. Mildred segelt schnell und sicher in K\u00fcstengew\u00e4ssern, auf der offenen See muss die Segelfl\u00e4che bei st\u00e4rkerem Wind schon sehr fr\u00fchzeitig verkleinert werden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MILDRED \u2013 125 Jahre Feier bei der Schwentineflotte Unser Gaffelsegler und Austernfischer MILDRED wurde 125 Jahre alt und segelt flott wie eh und je.
